During the Second World War the Village Hall was used as a ration book distribution centre and, in the early years, as a canteen for Canadian soldiers who had been billeted locally. Despite current use, the Hall was not used as a polling station until the By-Election of December 1947.

Stoke d'Abernon Village Hall is very easy to find - only 5 minutes walk from Cobham/Stoke D'Abernon station and very close to one of the finest pubs in the area - The Old Plough!
